We hope you will join us on April 9th at 5:30 pm for an evening of public health career exploration, networking, and conversation. The panel presentation will feature public health professionals from across the field sharing their experiences and insights.
Snacks will be provided. This event is free to attend.

Speakers:
Amelia Hersey, PA-C, Medical Director at Hope House Clinic, Penobscot Community Healthcare
Amelia has been a provider at PCHC for 11 years, is currently the medical director of the Hope House Clinic which is PCHC’s recovery and homelessness clinic in Bangor. The Hope House provides low barrier recovery treatment, primary care for people who are unhoused, mental health services, HIV and Hepatitis C testing, treatment and prevention via traditional appointments, drop-in hours and street medicine/ community outreach visits. She is also the lead provider for New Horizons Detox in Hampden, on the Maine Clinical Opioid Advisory Board and the Osteopathic Board of Medicine.
Jennifer Gunderman, MPH, Director, Bangor Public Health and Community Services
Jennifer has been working in public health for close to 30 years. Her experiences include Peace Corps volunteering, infectious disease epidemiologist, global health consultant, Midcoast Public Health Liasion, Maine AHEC Director, and now Director Bangor Public Health and Community Services. She lives in Belfast where she enjoys gardening, hiking, and time with her grandson.
Katherine Darling, PhD, Assistant Professor of Health Science, UMaine School of Nursing
Dr. Kate is a health scientist working at the intersections of medical sociology, public health and feminist studies of science. Her research team at UMaine deploys community engaged methods to remove barriers to health equity and strengthen the Community Health Worker workforce.
