Public health policy progress is achievable — even in challenging political climates. This session spotlights practical, field-tested strategies that have moved policy forward at federal, state and local levels, drawing on lessons from policymakers, public health practitioners and community advocates who have navigated polarization, resource constraints and public skepticism. Through a candid panel discussion of actionable frameworks, participants will learn how to assess political contexts, select effective strategies and tactics and build productive relationships with policymakers whose ideological positions may not initially align with perceived public health goals.
