Healthy Acadia, a non-profit community health coalition providing health and wellness services in Washington and Hancock counties and across Maine, is seeking a part-time dedicated Tribal Activities Coordinator to join our dynamic team. For over 25 years, Healthy Acadia has been building healthier communities and working to make it easier for all people to lead healthy lives.
The Activities Coordinator will be based at the Passamaquoddy Health Center in Motahkomikuk (Indian Township), Maine. The PHC serves as the heart of the Passamaquoddy community, supplying each patient with quality comprehensive treatment, prevention, and healing of the mind, body, and spirit. Elite Vibez, NP is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering community development, recreation, and local wellness initiatives in Princeton and surrounding areas.
The Activities Coordinator fosters tribal community well-being by bridging the gap between residents and vital health resources. In this role, they provide transportation to medical appointments and wellness classes (such as Tai Chi and Nutrition Education), lead accessible fitness sessions like chair yoga and walking groups, and securely track participants' health metrics, including blood pressure. Ultimately, they serve as a key connector to community resources that support overall wellness.
