Administrative Assistant Position — Hancock and Washington Counties Healthy Acadia, Maine Alliance for Recovery Coaching Job Posting
Healthy Acadia's Maine Alliance for Recovery Coaching (Maine-ARC), serving Hancock and Washington counties, is seeking to hire (1) part-time community professional to serve as an Administration Assistant to the Maine-ARC program, and join a dynamic team committed to making it easier for all people to lead healthier lives.
Reporting to the Maine-ARC Co-Directors, the Administrative Assistant (AA) will provide support to the program and staff with a variety of administrative duties as determined by Healthy Acadia and the Co-Directors to ensure the success of the Maine Alliance for Recovery Coaching (Maine-ARC) program.
This role is well-suited for an individual who is highly professional, adaptable, willing to learn, and comfortable working in a fast-paced team environment.
Given the nature of this work, it is strongly preferred that candidates have lived experience with addiction recovery or meaningful personal experience with the recovery process. Familiarity with, or strong ties to, the communities of Hancock and Washington counties is also highly valued.

Requirements for the selected candidate:
- Must have a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle for regular travel throughout their service area.
Qualifications and Experience Sought:
- Coordination of recovery coach training registrations
- Confirmation of registrants or other tasks as assigned
- Responding to training requests and inquiries
- Mailing books to all registrants, tracking orders as needed
- Ordering of training manuals
- Assisting with the CCAR Protraxx registration system
- Assisting with our RDP data collection system
- Keeping a comprehensive inventory of training materials and manuals
- Promote Recovery Coach training through a variety of outlets such as community partners, recovery centers, media outlets, and by working collaboratively with the HA Communications Director and other HA staff
- Work with the Maine ARC Co-Directors to order promotional materials for Maine-ARC as needed
- Provide additional assistance as needed to ensure the success of the Maine-ARC Recovery Coaching Program

- Motivation to advance their professional development
- Strong computer literacy required; MAC systems are a plus
- Knowledge of email and Google Drive is preferred
- Organized and independent, with the ability to multitask

- Able to work with diverse populations and to build and maintain professional and ethical working relationships
- Strong communication skills with the ability to listen well, write, and speak effectively
This is a 20-hour/week position with opportunity for growth. Hourly pay range $19–21. The position is funded from April 2026 through March 2028, with the strong likelihood of continuing in the long term. Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle & regular travel within the service region are required; some statewide travel and occasional weekend and/or evening meetings are expected.
