Event Name: Seventh National Conference on Quality Health Care for Culturally Diverse Populations Start Date: 2010-10-18 End Date: 2010-10-21 Location: Renaissance Baltimore Harborplace Hotel Event Description: We're pround to announce a superb program of 15 preconference trainings, over 50 main conference workshops, a film festival, poster sessions and exhibits, with presenters from the United States, Canada, Europe, and Australia.
The confeence theme is "improving health care for culturally diverse populations: a new place on the national health agenda," and we'll be featuring many prominent speakers from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, The Joint Commission, the National Committee for Quality Assurance, and the National Quality Forum, with a keynote address by Dr. Howard Koh, Assistant Secretary for Health, USDHHS. Join us as we discuss the implications of new standards, health care reform and other policy initiatives, along with practice advancements and research on language access, culturally competent care, organizational cultural competence and other strategies to improve health care for minority, immigrant and indigenous communities.
