The Grants & Proposals Specialist provides support to MG departments related to the research, preparation and submission of grant proposals to local, state and federal entities as well as private foundations. This position allows for a unique opportunity to work with organizational leadership including medical staff to enhance existing and develop new health care initiatives.
The ideal candidate is able to work collaboratively with internal and external partners. The position requires the ability to think critically, synthesize complex topics and support teams in meeting deadlines. Candidates that are self-motivated with excellent project management skills are encouraged to apply.
Works with organizational leadership to identify and prioritize grant opportunities.
Manages the work plan for each grant, establishing timelines, responsibilities and deadlines for each element of the application.
Facilitates involvement of key personnel, gathers and organizes information and assists with grant development and submission.
Designs, implements and manages a system to track and report on the status of requested and received grants and related information.
The ideal candidate will have:
Bachelor’s degree in English or related field or Master’s Degree in Public Health preferred.
Excellent writing skills preferred.
Grant writing experience, particularly federal, preferred.
